Rare - Hoya Globulosa
The Hoya Globulosa vine has a trailing or climbing growth habit, with thin, twining stems that can reach several feet in length. The leaves are succulent and glossy, characterized by their round or elliptical shape. They are typically small, and feature prominent veins running through them. The leaf coloration varies from light to dark green, often with a waxy texture that gives the plant its common name.
The blooms appear on peduncles, which are slender stalks that emerge from the axils of the leaves. Each cluster consists of several individual flowers that are roughly globular in shape, hence the species name "Globulosa." The flowers are typically creamy white to pale yellow in color, sometimes with a pink or red tinge. They have a waxy texture and a star-like shape, with five petals fused together at the base, forming a small, cup-like structure called a corolla.
It thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate partial shade. Direct sunlight should be avoided as it can scorch the leaves.
