The Monstera deliciosa is characterized by its large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves that feature distinctive splits and holes, giving it the appearance of Swiss cheese. As the plant matures, the leaves develop more splits, making it an attractive and eye-catching addition to any indoor space.

This plant is a climbing vine in its natural habitat, using aerial roots to attach itself to trees and other supports. Indoors, it can be trained to grow up a moss pole or trellis, allowing it to reach its full potential height, which can be several feet tall.

Monstera deliciosa prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some lower light conditions, but to encourage healthy growth and vibrant foliage, placing it in a spot with plenty of filtered sunlight is recommended. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can lead to leaf scorching.
