The Schefflera umbrella plant, also known as Schefflera arboricola, is a popular houseplant cherished for its attractive foliage and easy care requirements.

The Schefflera umbrella plant features a bushy, compact growth habit with a thick trunk that divides into multiple stems. It belongs to the Araliaceae family and can reach a height of 3 to 6 feet (0.9 to 1.8 meters) indoors.

The plant's leaves are the most striking feature. They are glossy, leathery, and arranged in a characteristic umbrella-like formation, hence the common name "umbrella plant." Each leaf is composed of several small, oval-shaped leaflets, usually 7 to 9 per leaf. The leaflets have a dark green coloration.

They prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Avoid placing them in direct sunlight, as it may scorch the leaves.
